On 3-4 November (Tuesday-Wednesday) and 8 November (Sunday) 2015, the Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor CRICOTEKA in Cracow (ul. Nadwislańska 2-4) and curator Anna Królica will host presentations and discussions as part of the  Choreographic Machine 2015 ? Schlemmer. Analogies. On 3 November (7 pm), the organizers will present ON A SUNNY DAY by Saburo Teshigawara/KARAS (Japan) and the Amareya Theatre & Guests. The event is organized conjointly by Choreographic Machine and the Polish-Japanese theatre project Kantor_Tropy, initiated by Ms. Misako Ueda (Theatre X, Tokyo) and dr Katarzyna Pastuszak. Inspired by the works of Tadeusz Kantor, the piece strives to highlight and reinterpret the ?traces? of this exquisite artist. Saburo Teshigawara reads Kantor through the texts and sensitivity of Bruno Schulz, with whom he has been fascinated for several years. On 4 November (7 pm), the two projects will collude again in a presentation of Kantor_Tropy: COLLAGE. The project Kantor_Traces: COLLAGE was directly inspired by the deep yet unplumbed relation between Ankoku but? developed by Hijikata Tatsumi and aesthetic theories and art of Tadeusz Kantor. To both artists, the eponymous collage constituted one of the main creative tools in processing their realities and extracting the existential crisis of 20th century human beings.

Choreographic Machine 2015 will conclude on 8 November (different venue! ul. Romanowicz 4, Hala A) with the premiere performance of Iza Szostak?s Excavatory ballet, created in collaboration with Paweł Sakowicz, in which the contemporary artist tackles the work of Oskar Schlemmer (Bauhaus professor, German painter, theorist of art and reformer of dance) and his conceptualisation of movement. Schlemmer was fascinated with the mechanic qualities of ballet dancers? movement. He treated their bodies as forms and lumps, finding them to be good models of complicated relations between people and geometricised space. The show will be followed by a panel discussion Art without a performer? The place and importance of objects, machines and puppets in stage practice which will be held as part of Choreographic Machine 2015 ? Schlemmer Analogies. The list of panelists includes Anna Królica, Katarzyna Lemańska, Katarzyna Słoboda, Iza Szostak, Mateusz Szymanówka, and Karolina Wycisk.
