During this year?s Culture Gala, which took place on 19 April 2017, the City of Lublin presented the City of Lublin prizes for culture for 2016, and awarded special occasion prizes. The City of Lublin prize for the popularisation of culture went to the Lublin Dance Theatre, operating within the Centre for Culture in Lublin.
We are pleased to congratulate the winners and wish them continuous success!
Substantiation of the verdict:
The Lublin Dance Theatre affiliated with the Centre for Culture in Lublin ? for unique efforts in popularising and promoting contemporary dance, supporting emerging Polish artists, and raising art awareness among the youngest residents of Lublin, in particular for organising the 20th anniversary edition of the International Dance Theatres Festival, which included presentations of some of the world?s best professional contemporary dance companies.
