Old Brewery New Dance for Children 2013, the annual project of contemporary dance theatre for children will be held for the third time already. This first project in Poland of its kind includes physical workshops and the most interesting dance performances for children’s audiences, which go beyond traditional theatre. After two successful editions, hundreds of dancing spectators and a few dozen invited artists, whose biggest passion is dancing for children, the organizers would like to go on with the project and provide our child audiences with monthly physical meetings.

Therefore, the 2013 edition includes a series of workshops developing children’s creativity and combining dance, language, fine arts and modern music. The workshops will be run by a group of Polish choreographers and musicians, who have much experience in working with children: Aleksandra Borys, Monika Kiwak, Janusz Orlik, Marta Romaszkan, Dominika Szala-Wentland, Patryk Lichota, Wojciech Morawski and Łukasz Szałankiewicz. This meetings will be focused on: contact improvisation for the whole families, motion of words for kindergarten pupils, space in movement / movement in space, plasticity of movement, word and sound.

The workshops, which will be on the 3rd Saturday of every month, will be also combined with the most important foreign and Polish performances for babies and children (up to 6 year old). It will be an opportunity for children to meet great artists, and for Polish dancers to see the most interesting works of dance theatre for children.

The first classes on Saturday, 19 January, will be given by Janusz Orlik.

Schedule for the first half of 2013: 19 January 2013, 16 February 2013, 23 March 2013, 20 April 2013, 18 May 2013, 15 June 2013. All classes take place on Saturday. Entry Tickets – 5 PLN.
