METAphysical Laboratory was founded in September 2010 as an extension of the Cracow Dance Theatre education activities. Laboratory is a group of permanent contributors of various age and experience, who want to hone their dance and acting skills. META activities include developing contemporary dance technique, stage expression, acting techniques and improvisation as well as preparation for conscious work on stage. Laboratory produces individual, independent stage performances (including Na styku – interdisciplinary project, June 2012; participation in the performance TAKARAZUKA camp by the Cracow Dance Theatre – 2011/2012; participation of some Laboratory’s dancers in the programme organized by Mościce Culture Centre in Tarnów as part of Dance Theatres Festival’s Open Stage, 2011). Laboratory’s dancers also took part in RUCH GALLERY, a movement project produced by the Cracow Dance Theatre as part of the Cracow BalletOFF Festival. Eryk Makohonia is art and educational supervisor of METAphysical Laboratory.
In the season 2012/2013 METAphysical Laboratory runs three classes with Paweł Łyskawa and Eryk Makohon.
